About Us
The Cost and Management Accountancy Profession in India has been established by the Parliament as The Cost & Works Accountants Act, 1959 for propagating the cost and management accounting education in the country. Effective from 1st February 2012, the Institute is renamed by the Parliament as "The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI)”
The ICMAI Jodhpur Chapter was established in 1989 by Founder CMA Dr. B.S. Rajpurohit with the aim of promoting Cost and Management Accounting in Jodhpur and surrounding areas. Dr. Rajpurohit’s vision was to provide a platform for professionals to enhance their skills and raise awareness about the importance of cost and management accounting in businesses.
Since its inception, the Chapter has been committed to fostering professional growth through educational initiatives like workshops, seminars, and conferences, keeping members updated on the latest trends in cost management, taxation, and business strategy. These initiatives also encourage networking and collaboration among members.
The Chapter is dedicated to supporting aspiring Cost Accountants by offering resources and guidance for the CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) qualification, helping students prepare for exams conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
Additionally, the Chapter engages in social and professional welfare activities, collaborating with government bodies and industry leaders to promote the profession and contribute to regional economic development.
Under the leadership of Dr. B.S. Rajpurohit, the ICMAI Jodhpur Chapter continues to be a hub for education and professional development, upholding the highest standards of ethics and technical expertise, and empowering members to excel in their careers.
